The Story behind

The Bondoola Healer

Inspired by the serenity of the rural town of Bondoola, Qld where the first seeds of service were planted, the original name ‘Bon’doula Healings’ was chosen as a reflection of commitment to service in reawakening a women’s connection to her own divine essence, rebirthing herself amidst the challenges and uncertainty of life.

‘Bon’doula Healings’ began with an intention to create a safe and sacred space for women to reconnect in authentic sisterhood and break down the walls of competition, comparison, judgement and division amongst each other.

Since conception, we have gathered regularly to hold space for one another, to release old beliefs & stories and respond to life with empowered choices.

Today, The Bondoola Healer has become a sanctuary to restore body, mind and soul with the addition of several holistic therapies:

Men who are seeking to heal their relationship with the feminine or their ‘inner feminine’ energies, embrace their need for deep relaxation, nurturing touch or emotional healing are admirably welcome to book in for treatment.

Meet Marie

‘The Bondoola Healer’

Marie is an accredited Red Tent, Women’s Rite of Passage Facilitator and Reiki Master with a passion for self-awareness, holistic healing and self-empowerment.

Working from her Central Queensland property in Bondoola (Yeppoon), Marie offers a range of holistic services to reawaken your connection to self, earth and spirit. Underpinning Marie’s work is her lived experiences with endometriosis, mental health struggles and inner child wounding that guided her to this work.

While she herself is a “work in progress,” it is Marie’s belief that when a woman embodies her Divine Feminine qualities of tenderness, supportiveness, expressiveness and devotion, she stands strong in her virtues of compassion, integrity, authenticity, and bliss, becoming a beacon of light to those around her.

Through her work, she is deeply inspired when working with and witnessing others who also follow the calling to deepen their lives through self-accountability, empowerment and healing.

Marie’s other certifications include Womb and Fertility Massage, Womb Hara Massage, Relaxation Massage, Spirit Breathwork, Pregnancy Massage, Peri-Steam Hydrotherapy and Dance The Medicine.

Outside of her work Marie enjoys tending her gardens, meditative painting and rediscovering what sparks her joy now that her three children have grown and left the nest.

I’ve taken so long to write this review as each time I came to do it, words did not seem enough. I was so incredibly blessed to win a competition for 2 breath work & ceremonial cacao sessions - I’ll be honest, I had been interested in breathwork but I was also a little fearful of being unable to ‘perform’. Enter The Bondoola Healer! immediately I felt warm, held and that I was in a safe space. Marie tailored the session to my sensitivities and my background. As I moved through it she moved with me. Marie has created a peaceful relaxing environment with calming music, aroma and candlelight. With the skills and knowledge that she continues to grow, she’s has on multiple occasions, created a safe and comfortable environment for our sessions. Some methods she uses can feel odd to begin with but they all result in a sense of relief and relieve pressure that (until tended to) you may not even realised was there. She has relieved so much pressure from my lower spine. Through her womb massages, you can actually feel the connection afterwards. Every organ in your abdomen feels like there is more circulation and connection. At the end, I was wrapped in cloth, it was wonderful. I highly recommend for any sort of emotional or stress relief and just for a bit of me-time.
